Kannada

Kannada is a language spoken in Karnataka, Bangalore, Mysore and Hampi.
It is also the language spoken in the village I will be volunteering in. So I have decided to teach myself some Kannada before my trip. At the moment I am using this website.

  1. Volunteering is such a wonderful thing to do, I can't tell you the number of wonderful friends I've made and experiences I've had due to my doing so. Well done you and even more so for learning some of the language of that country. Hopeless myself, I at least like to learn hello, please and thank you.

  2. It's such a selfless thing to do, taking a gap year to volunteer in India. Such a beautiful gesture. All the best, love! (:

  4. @Petty WItter: Thanks so much. To begin with I'm focusing on learning hello, please and thank you. Hopefully once I've got that down the rest will just come to me. Unlikely. But hopefully :)

@*this daisy: Thanks to you too Julia. Hopefully volunteering will teach me a few things about life.

@Kathryn: Yet again, thank you Kathryn, for your supportive comment. I really appreciate it
